OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our Board is made up of professional, highly experienced and well exposed Nigerians, who have brought in their wealth of experience to move the company forward. The current members of the Board are as follows:
Mr. Dayo Alabi - (Managing Director/CEO THE BOOK COMPANY LIMITED)
Mr Alabi started his career as Management Trainee with Lever Brothers Nigeria Plc. in 1981 and rose to the position of Industrial Products Manager, in the Marketing Division before he resigned in 1987.
He joined Nalin Industries PLC, Port Harcourt in 1987 as Marketing Manager and left for Standard Packaging Nigeria Limited in 1988 as Marketing Manager, rising to the position of General Manager before taking up appointment in 1992 as Managing Director/CEO of CSS Limited (formerly CMS/CSS Bookshops), the oldest surviving publishing, printing and book retailing organisation in Nigeria.
He resigned from CSS Limited in August, 2001 to establish, along with people of the same vision, The Book Company Limited, where he is currently the Managing Director/CEO.
Mr. Alabi is a graduate of Business Administration, Fellow, Institute of Publishing (Nigerian Publishers Association), and Fellow, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Member Pan African Booksellers’ Association and Member, Institute of Directors.
Mr Alabi was President Nigerian Booksellers Association, Vice President, Nigerian Publishers Association and Chairman, Nigerian Book Fair Trust, the umbrella body for the seven major book associations in Nigeria and the organisers of the Nigeria International Book Fair.
He is a member of the Council of Management of the African Books Collective Limited, Oxford, United Kingdom.

Mr. Folu Ayeni - (Director)
Mr. Ayeni started his professional career with Center for Management Development and later joined Lever Brothers Nigeria Plc, as Brand Manager, rising to the position of Marketing Services Manager before joining Rank Xerox Nigeria Limited as Marketing Manager. He rose to become the Deputy Managing Director, a post he held until he resigned in 1999. He is currently the Chairman of Tantalizers Nigeria Limited, the second largest and one of the fastest growing Fast Food chains in Nigeria.Mr. Ayeni graduated with a First Class Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Business Administration. Mr. Ayeni is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Marketing and Member, Institute of Directors, among others.
Mrs. Funmi Alabi - (Executive Director)
Mrs. Alabi started her working career with INFOTEC Limited as a Sales Executive. She later joined Commercial and Scientific Computing Limited in the same capacity, rising to become Marketing Manager, a post she held until she resigned in 1996 to manage her private business. She is currently the Executive Director in charge of Marketing/Sales The Book Company Limited. She holds a degree in Marketing. She is a Member of the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria and Associate Member of the Computer Association of Nigeria.
She has a wealth of experience having studied and worked in the UK.

Mr. Wale Oni - (Director)
Mr Wale Oni is based in the USA with a flourishing Physiotherapy Practice.
